Vehicle Collision in Ocala Leads to Motorcycle Fatality

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – At around 2 a.m. this morning, the Ocala Police Department responded to a crash involving a BMW motorcycle and a Volkswagen sedan at the intersection of SW 17 St/SW 20 Ct and SR 200.

The police investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling south on SW 20 Ct. when it approached SR 200. At the same time, the Volkswagen was traveling eastbound on SR 200 and approaching the intersection of SW 20 Ct. and SW 17 St. As both vehicles were crossing the intersection, the Volkswagen collided with the side of the motorcycle. The police are still investigating who had the right-of-way.

The 35-year-old motorcyclist was transported to HCA and later pronounced deceased. No other injuries were reported.

This crash is still under investigation.
