OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Veterans Helping Veterans USA announces the addition of veteran community engagement specialist Myles McConico, a U.S. Army veteran, as director of community engagement and outreach.
In an effort to raise the community profile of Veterans Helping Veterans USA in Marion County, Mr. McConico represents the organization at community events throughout the county.
McConico is often on hand with the VHVUSA logo tent and setup at different events countywide, including those held at the Ocala downtown square, veterans groups at large subdivisions, festivals at local parks, plus business and social events at the World Equestrian Center.
Drawing on his military background and deep community ties, McConico works to strengthen veteran resources, address systemic gaps, and connect those in need with practical solutions. Known for his steady leadership and results-driven approach, McConico is committed to fostering a lasting impact through collaboration, advocacy and service.
His outreach goals are to inform fellow veterans and non-veterans alike about the outstanding work that takes place at the VHVUSA facility on East Silver Springs Blvd. near the Ocala main library. With approximately 40,000 veterans in Marion County, most are unaware of the services offered at VHVUSA. There is a strong need to reach them and let them know the many ways in which VHVUSA can help them, through the different resources that are available including services such as free food, showers, homeless assistance, job placement and much more.
