OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ice cream lovers gathered in Ocala for the Baskin-Robbins grand opening celebration that combined sweet treats, music and prizes during a four-hour event the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 1\0, 2026.

From noon to 4 p.m., customers were offered a special deal of $2 single scoops all day, with a limit of three per person, to kick-off the opening of the new store located at 2708 SW College Rd. The celebration featured entertainment from Reginald Gaspard, a live DJ from LC3 Entertainment, who kept the crowd energized by announcing prize wheel winners, wishing attendees happy birthday and hyping up the event.

“Ice cream goes with Vans (the shoes). Trust me. I know. I’m a DJ,” the DJ said while entertaining the crowd. Between spins, he encouraged guests with one simple strategy: “Study the wheel.”

Prizes included coupons for free scoops, dollars off Baskin-Robbins products including ice cream and ice cream cakes and the chance to win free ice cream for an entire year. In addition to its classic flavors, Baskin-Robbins showcased menu favorites such as Polar Pizza, ice cream cakes, milkshakes, smoothies, pints to go and customizable Creature Creations, giving attendees a taste of the variety available at the store.

For those who are interested in visiting the new location, the shop is open from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The grand opening brought families, students and ice cream fans together for an afternoon of music, giveaways and frozen treats, marking a festive start for the Ocala location.
