OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A Pennsylvania fugitive already in custody was arrested Tuesday in Marion County on an out-of-state warrant related to an alleged violation of a state drug treatment program, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Jason D. Peters, 50, was taken into custody Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the Marion County Jail after authorities confirmed an active warrant from Pennsylvania. An arrest report states the warrant was issued for a violation of a state drug treatment program.

According to the report, Peters was arrested on a felony fugitive warrant and initially held without bond. The report states he “became arrested per Pennsylvania warrant for violation of drug treatment program.”

Jail records show Peters was already being held at the Marion County Jail on local charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia when the out-of-state warrant was served. Those charges stem from a separate Marion County case.

Records indicate Peters was released from custody on June 24.

Additional details about the Pennsylvania case and the alleged drug treatment program violation were not included in the arrest report.
