OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A Florida-based breakfast and brunch chain is expanding into Ocala, bringing new life to a recently closed restaurant along one of the city’s busiest corridors.

Peach Valley Cafe will open its 10th location at the former Bob Evans site at 3535 SW College Rd. The Bob Evans permanently closed the SR 200 restaurant in early January. Property records show Holm Real Estate LLC purchased the building for $2.9 million. The cafe is operated by Eric Holm, who also owns 18 Golden Corral franchises in the region.

Peach Valley Cafe, founded about 25 years ago, is known for its Southern-style breakfast and lunch offerings, including buttermilk biscuits, chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, omelets and other brunch favorites. The brand currently has locations across Central Florida and Gainesville and continues to grow its footprint.

The Ocala restaurant is expected to open within the next six months, placing its anticipated debut around summer or late 2026. In addition to the Ocala site, a new Peach Valley Cafe location has been announced for the nearby Eastport area in The Villages.

The redevelopment of the former Bob Evans property underscores ongoing commercial activity along the SR 200 corridor, a key retail and dining destination for residents and visitors alike.
