OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The North Central Florida Outdoor Expo returned to the World Equestrian Center on Saturday, filling more than 130,000 square feet with outdoor enthusiasts, families and industry experts for a one-day showcase of recreation and community.
Organizers welcomed crowds similar in size to last year’s turnout of more than 5,000 attendees, who explored over 150 vendors and activities spanning hunting, fishing, boating, camping and conservation.
Now in its seventh year, the event was hosted by North Central Florida Media Group. Admission was $5 for adults, while children 17 and under attended free. Shuttles transported guests to and from parking lots and the event was pet friendly.

Prominent outdoor industry names were on display, including Phillips Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, Miller’s Marine, A to Z RV Supercenter and JB Golf Carts. Attendees browsed vehicles, boats and RVs, along with fishing gear, archery equipment and apparel from local and regional businesses.
The expo emphasized hands-on experiences. Families tried their hand at casting with Outdoor Valor, while archers tested their skills at Gobbler’s Lodge 3D Archery Range. Reptile Encounters offered close-up experiences with rescued exotic animals such as turtles, snakes and alligators, and conservations groups like the Save the Manatee Club and Florida State Parks educated visitors on protecting Florida’s wildlife. UF IFAS Extension and the Florida Speleological Society provided additional demonstrations, blending outdoor recreation with environmental awareness.

Community groups added another dimension. The Ocala Jeep Club of Florida showcased customized vehicles and Ocala Recreation and Parks set out activities for younger guests to enjoy. Outdoor Valor, a nonprofit supporting veterans, received a $500 donation from North Central Florida Media Group, with guests supporting the cause further through a raffle for a Henry Golden Boy rifle.
Entertainment kept attendees engaged throughout the day. Swamp Axe Co. hosted axe throwing, Knockerball Ocala featured inflatable soccer games, and the Sunshine State Bus photo booth gave guests the opportunity to preserve their memories. Raccoons Rubbish and Debrie with No Horsin’ Around with Marion delighted younger guests while teaching the importance of not littering.
