LADY LAKE, FL. — The Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club has announced a $1,000 sponsorship of the inaugural District 35-O Golf Tournament, raising funds for disaster relief initiatives across Central Florida. The tournament, organized by Lions Club District 35-O, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Harbor Hills Country Club in Lady Lake.
Lions Clubs International is organized into districts, with District 35-O representing clubs throughout a large portion of Central Florida. Through this regional structure, member clubs coordinate resources, share expertise, and amplify their impact on service projects—such as disaster relief efforts that help communities recover from hurricanes, floods, and other emergencies.
The tournament will feature an 8 a.m. shotgun start, with check-in beginning at 7 a.m. The entry fee is $100 per person or $400 for a team of four, which includes lunch. Attendees can also participate in raffles and compete for prizes throughout the day.
To register, contact First Vice District Governor John Hanna at 1076 Summerton Street, The Villages, FL 32162.
“We’re proud to stand with our fellow Lions in District 35-O and support their mission of being there for communities in times of crisis,” said Barbara Crewell, OBG Lions president. “This tournament is a fun day on the course and an opportunity to ensure that when disaster strikes, we can respond quickly and effectively. Where there is a need, there is a Lion ready to serve.”
