MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A state legislator who is part of Marion County’s Florida legislative delegation has been recognized by the Florida Farm Bureau as one of their Legislators of the Year.
Rep. J.J. Grow, Dist. 23, a lifelong resident of Citrus County whose district covers part of Marion County, were recognized, along with Sen. Nick DiCeglie, Dist. 18, Pinellas County, for their efforts during the 2025 legislative session to support one of the Florida Farm Bureau’s top priorities.
It was through Rep. Grow’s and Sen. DeCeglie’s efforts that legislation for a Florida Farm Bureau health plan advanced through the house and senate–a health plan that’s critical for the rural communities who don’t have sufficient access to health insurance or care.
“Sen. DiCeglie’s and Rep. Grow’s ability to navigate the legislative process and effectively communicate their goals led to a major win for Florida Farm Bureau’s top legislative priority,” said Tripp Hunter, director of state legislative affairs for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. “Their commitment to the issue and to supporting farm and ranch families across the state was evident in every step. The two legislators will be recognized at the Florida Farm Bureau’s state annual meeting in Daytona Beach on Tuesday, Oct. 28 during the legislative luncheon.
