BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews quickly responded to a mobile home fire Monday morning, preventing flames from spreading to nearby residences and trees in a Belleview neighborhood.
At 11:19 a.m. on Aug. 11, MCFR dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting a residential structure fire in the 11700 block of SE 99th Terrance. Callers told dispatchers that a single-wide mobile home was burning and that the blaze was threatening other structures and vegetation.

Firefighters from Spruce Creek Station #30 arrived on the scene at 11:25 a.m. and found the home fully engulfed in flames. Crews immediately deployed hoselines to attack the fire and protect nearby properties.
Additional units from Shady Station #16, Silver Springs Shores Station #17, Belleview Station #18 and Weirsdale Station #27 arrived shortly afterward to assist. Together, firefighters worked to contain the flames and keep them from spreading from the property.
The fire was brought under control by 11:35 a.m., about 10 minutes after the first unit arrived. Officials said the rapid response and coordinated effort of multiple stations prevented further damage to surrounding homes and wooded areas.

No civilians or firefighters were injured during the incident. However, officials confirmed that one dog inside the home did not survive.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
