BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews quickly responded to a mobile home fire Monday morning, preventing flames from spreading to nearby residences and trees in a Belleview neighborhood.

At 11:19 a.m. on Aug. 11, MCFR dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting a residential structure fire in the 11700 block of SE 99th Terrance. Callers told dispatchers that a single-wide mobile home was burning and that the blaze was threatening other structures and vegetation.

Firefighters from Spruce Creek Station #30 arrived on the scene at 11:25 a.m. and found the home fully engulfed in flames. Crews immediately deployed hoselines to attack the fire and protect nearby properties.

Additional units from Shady Station #16, Silver Springs Shores Station #17, Belleview Station #18 and Weirsdale Station #27 arrived shortly afterward to assist. Together, firefighters worked to contain the flames and keep them from spreading from the property.

The fire was brought under control by 11:35 a.m., about 10 minutes after the first unit arrived. Officials said the rapid response and coordinated effort of multiple stations prevented further damage to surrounding homes and wooded areas.
