SUMTER COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A man from The Villages faces even more child pornography charges.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested Gary Slesinski of The Villages for a second time on Thursday, this time on 30 counts of possession of child pornography.

SCSO originally arrested Gary Slesinski on March 24, 2023. At that time, they charged him with two counts of transmitting child pornography. They indicated that more charges were pending a forensic review of his electronic devices.

SCSO detectives say they received a tip that Slesinski was distributing child porn including an image of a child who appeared to be under the age of 10. Following a three-month investigation, they executed a search warrant where he was living at 856 Abaco Path in The Villages.

SCSO sent electronic devices taken from Slesinski’s home to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for forensic analysis.

On Thursday, FDLE released those results. SCSO says Slesinski’s devices contained more than 300 images/videos of child pornography, some of which depicted the sexual battery of children under the age of four.

SCSO says the charges against Slesinski are now being reclassified as second-degree felonies as there are 10 or more images/videos, coupled with the sexual battery of children. Bond was set at $450,000. Slesinski remains in the Sumter County Jail.

SCSO detectives remind you that you can report suspected criminal activity anonymously through Crimeline at 1-(800)-423-TIPS.
