DUNNELLON, FL (352today.com) – A locally owned sports bar chain is expanding again, bringing its pub-style food and game-day atmosphere to Dunnellon this spring.

Lollygaggers Sports Pub & Grill, which already operates locations in Wildwood, Floral City and Crystal River, announced plans to open a new restaurant at 11582 N. Williams St., the former site of barbecue chain BubbaQue’s, as construction moves toward completion.

The Dunnellon location is expected to open in mid-to-late March, according to recent updates on the eatery’s official Facebook page. Earlier announcements had targeted a January debut, but owners said additional time was needed to complete interior build-out work, including installation of the bar, flooring and kitchen equipment.

Lollygaggers has built a following across Citrus, Sumter and surrounding counties for its casual dining environment, extensive sports coverage and menu featuring chicken wings, burgers, fried catfish, nachos and other American pub staples, along with a full bar selection.

In social media posts, the restaurant also said it is actively hiring ahead of the opening, with interviews scheduled to begin next week. The restaurant is currently hiring servers, line cooks and dishwashers with full availability, as well as some part-time positions.

Officials have not yet announced operating hours or details regarding a grand-opening celebration.
