OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The annual Golf Cart Parade lit up Downtown Ocala on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, where locals and organizations adorned golf carts with Christmas-themed decorations. Proceeds from participants benefited The Fostering Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing foster children with community and encouragement.

Locals started the evening at 4 p.m. with the pre-tailing event in the City Hall parking lot where golf carts filled the lot with holiday festivities as participants were preparing the decorations and showing off group costumes. Guests could get a close look at the decorated golf carts, grab a bite to eat at the food trucks and peruse some of the booths around the parking lot while listening to Christmas music played from the carts. Judges could also get a close look at the golf carts, as judging took place during the pre-tailing.

As the evening grew dark, the lights on the golf carts began to illuminate the City Hall parking lot. At 6 p.m., the decorated carts took off from City Hall and began to parade through Ocala’s Historic Downtown Square. Spectators could watch for free and were encouraged to bring lawn chairs for a comfortable view of the parade. Anyone could follow the parade and join in the festive cheer as golf carts took over the square spreading holiday cheer.
