OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Fresh bread, local produce and handcrafted goods filled Circle Square Commons on Jan. 29 as residents gathered for the weekly farmers market at On Top of the World, a Thursday tradition that blends neighborhood charm with support for local businesses.

The Circle Square Commons Farmers Market is held every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering a rotating mix of food vendors, farmers, artisans and community organizations. The market provides shoppers an opportunity to shop local while enjoying an open-air setting in the heart of the community.

Vendors at the Jan. 29 market included Tide to Table Seafood, Lee’s Micro Farms and a produce stand, along with Wholesome Conversions Farms, which offered fresh eggs and meats. Baked goods were well represented with Baked by Rosie, Golden Girls Cheesecakes, I Need a Cookie, Covered in Chocolate and Nature Coast Bakery Co.

Specialty food vendors added bold flavors to the lineup, including hot sauces from Top Drizzle, pickled goods from The Pickle Plug, teas from Sol Sipper Tea, handmade sourdough bread and treats from Spice & Spoon, olive oils from The Olive Oil Market and jams and varieties of pickled goods from Modo Jams and More.

Shoppers also explored handcrafted and service-based offerings from Moon Baby Creations gemstone jewelry, Norm’s Custom Wood Creations, Celticness handmade wall art and home, garden and utility tool sharpening with Doug’s Sharpening. The On Top of the World (OTOW) Lions Club was also present, sharing information about its local outreach efforts.

In addition to its weekly markets, Circle Square Commons hosts a full calendar of community events. Regular programming includes Boots & Beats on Wednesdays, Tunes on Thursdays and Trucks & Tunes on Fridays, featuring live music and rotating food trucks. The schedule also includes themed markets and special events, including the Valentine’s celebration “Love, Bites & Beats,” set for Saturday, Feb. 14 from 3 to 9 p.m. Nearby, the Circle Square Cultural Center continues its concert lineup with tribute acts, touring performers and special shows scheduled throughout February and beyond. Additional information for the square’s events is available on their website.

With weekly markets, live music and seasonal events, Circle Square Commons continues to serve as a central gathering place for residents to shop local, enjoy entertainment and connect with the community. The Thursday farmers market remains a cornerstone of that effort, offering a consistent space for local vendors and neighbors to come together.
