DUNNELLON, FL (352today.com) – Puzzle lovers and thrill-seekers will soon have a new way to test their skills in Dunnellon as Escape Reality, a family-owned escape room business, prepares to open its doors later this month. The new attraction offers immersive, timed experiences designed to challenge teamwork, creativity and problem-solving–and is just minutes from the city’s popular Rainbow River.

The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. Reservations for that date and beyond can be made online though the business’s website. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure a reservation.

The business will feature four themed escape rooms: Cypherspace, The Lost Jewel of Zanzibar, The Basement and The Monkey Virus. Each experience lasts 60 minutes and includes a brief introduction and debriefing. Rooms are booked privately, and groups are not paired with other parties.

Escape Reality’s rooms vary in intensity and capacity. Cypherspace can accomodate up to nine players, The Lost Jewel of Zanzibar up to seven players, and The Monkey Virus and The Basement up to three players each. All rooms may be played by as few as one participant, though a room minimum of $100 applies. The standard rate is $34 per person.

Some rooms include suspenseful elements. The Monkey Virus and The Basement feature jump scares and intense themes. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult, and children 5 and under may play at no cost.

Most rooms require minimal physical activity, focusing instead on problem-solving and collaboration. The Basement includes limited crawling. All public areas and escape rooms are wheelchair accessible, and handicap parking is available. Guests requiring accommodations are encouraged to call ahead.

Escape Reality will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with final reservations accepted in the evening to allow for closing procedures. Guests are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, particularly on weekends and holidays.

Free parking is available on-site at 20540 E. Pennsylvania Ave., with additional public parking located nearby. Outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the escape rooms, and cell phones are secured during gameplay to prevent distractions.

Escape Reality’s owners say they are eager to welcome both visitors and residents looking for something new to do in the area. As final preparations wrap up ahead of the busy summer season, the business hopes its interactive experiences will become a lasting addition to Dunnellon’s local entertainment scene.

Guests looking for additional details or information can contact Escape Reality at 352-533-2151 or via their email address.
