Deputy Heber was patrolling in the 9200 block of 187th Terrace when he recognized Cody Hawk behind the wheel. Knowing Hawk’s license was suspended, Herber initiated a stop. Hawk admitted he was driving with a suspended license and told deputies he had narcotics in the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and a handgun, the sheriff’s office said. Records show Hawk is a convicted felon and currently on probation for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was arrested on multiple charges and booked into the Marion County Jail.
