Driver Killed After Vehicle Crashes into Tree in Alachua County

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 34-year-old Alachua woman was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Alachua County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. June 8, 2026, at the intersection of CR 235 and NW 157th Street within the city limits of Alachua. According to FHP, the woman was driving a sedan through the intersection when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No passengers were reported in the vehicle.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation.
