Sgt. Davis conducted a traffic stop in the 16100 block of East Highway 40. During the stop, deputies made contact with the driver and passenger, identified as Brian Jordling. A K-9 unit performed an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies searched Jordling and discovered a plastic baggie containing fentanyl. He was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail.

Meanwhile, members of the Intel Unit responded to a home on Southeast 151st Place in reference to locating Jeremy Flowers, who had an active warrant. Flowers was wanted on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, battery, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. Detectives said they found Flowers at the residence, placed him under arrest and transported him to jail without incident.

There, they made contact with Victor Montes Jr., who was wanted on a charge of lewd or lascivious battery. Montes was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail.

In a separate incident, Deputy Salgado responded to the 7400 block of Southwest 114th Street Road regarding a reported burglary. The homeowner told deputies that sometime over the previous weekend, someone broke into the residence and cut a large quantity of wiring from the attic. While the wiring was left at the scene, the damage was estimated at $5,000. The sheriff’s office said the case remains under investigation.
