INVERNESS, FL (352today) On the eve of Hurricane Idalia making landfall on Florida’s coast, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested an Inverness couple on multiple sex-related offenses.

CCSO says Jacob Michael Rose and Krystal Dawn Rose, both 37, arranged to meet up with someone they thought was a 13-year-old girl to have sex with her.

CCSO detectives say the Roses sent the juvenile several nude images and a video of them engaging in oral sex. According to detectives, the requested photos of her in return.

Detectives arrested the Roses at an Inverness business where they were supposed to be meeting the girl.

“Even though a major hurricane was barreling towards our county during this arrest, our dedicated team was still hard at work protecting our citizens,” said Sheriff Mike Prendergast. “This couple not only knowingly sent vile, sexually explicit messages to a minor, but went as far as to meet up with them to carry out repulsive acts. I am extremely proud of our detectives for putting this abhorrent couple behind bars and away from our children.”

Jacob Rose who is already a registered sex offender was charged with:
– One count of travel to meet a minor
– Three counts of transmission of harmful material to minors
– One count of online solicitation of a minor and one count of sex offender failure to register online account.

He is being held at the Citrus County Detention facility without bond.
