UPDATE: Crash traps driver in SUV near Ocala Airport Monday night

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – UPDATE, 2/13/2024: Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) says they responded to a serious crash Monday night at the intersection of SW 38th Street and SW 60th Avenue.

OFR says a pickup truck and SUV collided entrapping a woman in the SUV.

Part of the massive emergency response included special equipment to extricate the female driver.

OFR says once they got the woman out, she was transported as a trauma alert to a local hospital.

ORIGINAL, 2/12/2024 7:32 p.m.: There’s a large law enforcement presence responding to a crash in the area of SW 38th Street and SW 60th Avenue in Ocala.

The Ocala Police Department website indicates a call for service around 6:30 p.m. in response to a crash.

We don’t have much information at this time other than eyewitnesses saying multiple emergency crews are on the scene which is near the Ocala Airport.
