OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Job seekers facing barriers to employment will have the opportunity to connect with hiring employers during a Nationwide Days of Second Chances job fair on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Revealing Truth Ministries Outreach Christian Center.

The event, hosted in partnership with Better Together, is part of the nonprofit’s sixth consecutive year of hosting background-friendly job fairs during Second Chance Month in April. The Ocala job fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organizers said the initiative is designed to help individuals overcome common employment barriers such as incarceration, homelessness, lack of reliable transportation or child care, and gaps in employment history. More than a dozen similar events are planned nationwide, including stops in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Montana, Ohio and Washington, D.C.

Better Together said more than 600,000 people leave prison each year in the United States without a job or stable community support. The organization added that many struggle to re-enter the workforce and achieve financial stability, with some returning to incarceration due to lack of opportunity.

The job fair will bring together employers prepared to interview candidates on-site and, in some cases, offer jobs immediately. Participating employers include 4DTransports LLC, All Ways Caring HomeCare, Comfort Keepers, Express Employment Professionals, the Ocala Housing Authority, Staybridge Suites Ocala, Truly Nolen and others.

In addition to hiring opportunities, attendees will have access to free job coaching, resume reviews and interview preparation. Community resources such as education assistance, legal services and support groups will also be available.

Organizers said candidates who receive job offers or interviews often celebrate by ringing an “Opportunity Bell,” marking milestones as they move toward employment.

Better Together officials said the program aims to help meet workforce demands while restoring dignity and stability for job seekers through in-person hiring events and community support.

Revealing Truth Ministries Outreach Christian Center is located at 7575 SW 62nd Ct. in Ocala. More information is available at Better Together’s inititative page.
