WILLISTON, FL (352today.com) – From rich Belgian chocolate bars to varieties of house-made truffles, The Chocolate Station is bringing a touch of sweetness–and a lot of craftmanship–to downtown Williston.

Owned and operated by John J. Howard and Maureen Jewett, the business blends passion, artistry and local flavor. Howard runs the business operations, while Jewett and her team crafts the confections, creating every treat in-house.

“We want people to taste the difference,” Howard said, elaborating that a good truffle should “crack when you bite into it,” then melt into that creamy texture that makes you smile without realizing it.

The Chocolate Station has been a staple in Gainesville for eight years and recently relocated to Williston, where the couple plans to build a lasting presence. The new location, which opened about a year ago, gives visitors a chance to watch chocolate being made fresh daily through a viewing window. The new location also offers a cozy, inviting train-themed space filled with the aroma of chocolate.

The menu showcases both elegance and nostalgia: High-quality Belgian chocolate, seasonal caramel apples and candy filled chocolates shares space with classic favorites like peanut brittle, turtles, cookies and chocolate-covered pretzels. Items such as chocolate-dipped animal crackers and gummy worms bring a playful element to the menu, while fall brings Halloween bark and pumpkin spice truffles. Year-round bestsellers include homemade chocolate-dipped s’mores and their take on a trending item, “Dubai Bars,” a stuffed chocolate creation that’s quickly become a fan favorite.

The couple also experiments with unique items like chocolate logos, customizable designs and animal-shaped chocolates. The shop’s dedication to quality has earned it a special honor–The Chocolate Station is the official chocolatier for the University of Florida, crafting custom chocolates and logos for special occasions and events. They also partner locally with Williston Peanuts, creating a delicious blend of sweet and savory that highlights two beloved regional products.

Gift baskets and truffle sets are popular for holidays and special occasions, and for customers outside the area, the shop offers nationwide UPS shipping, ensuring their signature sweets can be enjoyed anywhere in the country.

With its blend of craftmanship, creativity and hometown pride, The Chocolate Station stands out as a true local gem. Whether it’s a custom Gator-themed chocolate, a Dubai Bar or a sweet treat with the family, every piece is made with care–and meant to make someone’s day a little sweeter.
