SILVER SPRINGS, FL (352today.com) – Silver Springs is home to the Wilderness RV Resort at 2771 NE 102nd Avenue Rd., Ocala on highway 40. The resort is home to Jan’s Riverside Café, three RV lots, activities and recreational spots in Florida parks, including Silver Springs State Park, Ocala National Forest, Cross Florida Greenway and golf courses.

A special feature of the resort, however, is Sweet Jane’s Candy Store and Trading Post at the entrance of the lots.

Known for its whoopie pies, Sweet Jane’s Candy Store features a variety of sweets, including handcrafted baked goods and nostalgic candy. Some of the candy treats include a variety of gum products, Turkish taffy, gummies, lollipops, chocolate, candy cigarettes, candy buttons, candy sticks, honey sticks, mints and soda. Baked items include the aforementioned whoopie pies, and whoopie cookies with more specialized items made in the shop such as chocolate turtles, mallow cups, buckeyes, marshmallows, cookies, cheesecake and more.

The shop is also home to souvenir and convenience items for guests expecting longer stays. Some of these items featured in the store include shirts advertising the shop, magnets with small characters and advertising the whoopie pies, camping items and more.
