GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – Nestled in the heart of Celebration Pointe, Le Macaron welcomes sweet-tooth seekers with pastel cases, cozy cafe seating and the gentle promise of a little indulgence. Whether a quick treat or a cafe-style break is in order, the shop offers a touch of Paris, right off Archer Road.

Le Macaron French Pastries began in 2009 when a mother-daughter team, Rosalie Guillem and Audrey Guillem-Saba, set out to introduce authentic French macarons to the American market rather than the coconut-based “macaroons” many people expected.

On the menu are the signature French macarons–crisp outside, soft inside–offered in more than 20 flavors, many crafted by French-trained pastry chefs. Beyond macarons, the shop also features an array of classic French pastries including croissants, eclairs, Napoleons and assorted cakes.

For frozen-dessert flavors, house-made gelato and gelato-filled “macaron glace” sandwiches are available. Guests can also enjoy airy meringues and a selection of European-style beverages including espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, teas and specialty drinks like matcha or iced chai.

Inside, the cafe atmosphere reflects the offerings: elegant yet welcoming, with decor that pairs well with delicate desserts and artful presentation. Staff are friendly and often ready to suggest flavors or pairings, making the shop a relaxed stop for a treat, a study break or a casual meet-up.

As Gainesville’s dessert scene grows, Le Macaron stands out by offering a refined, Parisian-style patisserie experience powered by authentic technique, quality ingredients and a wide–yet approachable–menu. From a single macaron to a full spread of pastries and beverages, it’s become a sweet little escape in Celebration Pointe.
