WILLISTON, FL (352today.com) – At Homestead Haunt, the line between local gathering spot and spine-tingling scare house is seamlessly blurred. Located at Homestead Park, the attraction transforms a part of the neighborhood entertainment venue into a full-blown haunted experience each fall.

This year’s theme, Cavern of Cosmic Horrors, opened Sept. 12 and runs Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. through late October. Guests navigate otherworldly landscapes and alien-infested rooms in an immersive haunted house built for thrill-seekers.

Tickets are $20 when purchased online and $25 at the door, with re-entry on the same night for just $5. Kids 10 and under receive a free round of mini-golf with their tickets.

One of the standout features is the special “Insanity Mode,” starting around 9:30 p.m. each night. Visitors who choose this harder path receive a headlamp and tour the haunt with minimal lighting, giving the experience an extra jolt.

It’s not just about the haunted house. Homestead Park also offers on-site amenities such as a beer and wine bar, cornhole, axe-throwing, mini-golf and more. Guests can arrive early for games and social time before the haunt opens.

The event’s dual identity is part of what makes it special: by day, a casual community space hosting families and games; by night, it hosts a dark, carefully crafted scare attraction.

The organizers emphasize that tickets are limited each night, and the event runs rain or shine–though large groups can save with a 10% discount when buying eight or more online.

Safety and accessibility also get a moment of focus: The website cautions visitors that this is a mature audience attraction involving uneven terrain, strobe lights, fog machines and narrow spaces, and that children under 12 should be accompanied by a guardian.

For tickets, schedule and more info, visit here. For weekend fun before Saturday’s haunt, Homestead Park is hosting their annual Fall Festival from 12-6 p.m., featuring a costume contest, food trucks, a hayride, pumpkin patch, psychic readings, games, shopping and more.

Whether you arrive early to toss some axes, sip a drink under the stars and play mini-golf, or you turn up after dark ready for the headlamp-lit “Insanity Mode,” Homestead Haunt offers a layered experience that evolves from social fun into hair-raising horror.
