OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Alternative rock band, 10,000 Maniacs, is celebrating their 45th anniversary with new albums and various performance dates. The band was slated to perform at the Reilly Arts Center on Friday, May 8, 2026, however, scheduling conflicts caused the performance to be canceled.

10,000 Maniacs initially formed in 1981 with co-founders, Dennis Drew and Steven Gustafson in Jamestown, New York. Over the years, the band has released nine studio albums along with live albums and EPs, gaining a large following after the release of their 1987 album, “In My Tribe.” Now, the band celebrates their 45th anniversary with their new album, “Dawn Chorus,” produced 12 years after their last album, “Twice Told Tales,” released in 2014.

The band’s current lineup features lead vocalist Mary Ramsey and her viola along with Dennis Drew on keyboard, Steven Gustafson on bass, Jerome Augustyniak on drums, John Lombardo on guitar and Ben Medina on guitar. Whether a fan from the dawn of the band or a newly found listener, their music has plenty of classic anthems to enjoy. Although they are no longer performing at the Reilly, fans can still listen to their music on a variety of music platforms.

Following the performance cancelation in April, everyone who purchased tickets received an email, notifying them of the cancelation and issued refunds. The Reilly Arts Center still has plenty to offer with a packed lineup of performances for the season. The next performance will be Saturday, May 9, featuring Dueling Pianos at 6 p.m. and Reilly After Hours Dueling Pianos: Uncensored at 9 p.m. Learn more and purchase tickets here.
